This week there is a lot of sunshine and I’m so happy over that! It was pretty gloomy around this area and the sunshine is more than welcome here!
Anyone else starting to feel the need to breathe in fresh air? It was too cold to go outside and play the last week and now today we have a crew in our basement tearing down a wall and fixing it up after our basement flooded this last weekend.
In exactly one month it will be my birthday and i’m turning 25! That always makes the winter months a little more exciting because right after that Garrett has his birthday!
I happen to love birthdays. I started brainstorming what to do for Garrett and was quickly overwhelmed looking on Pinterest. ![]()
Also today the article I wrote for Christian Military Wives was posted. Each month I have an article that goes on their blog and I really think military wives can gain a lot of encouragement from their website.
I love it.
The other women on the writing team are becoming dear friends and I hope one day we can meet face-to-face. They are a special group of military spouses and it’s an honor to team up with them in this ministry for other military spouses.

Garrett has settled back into his routine after we spent a week at my in-laws. We had a great time with them! I looked forward to our time there and was disappointed by how fast it went. Darren heads back to work Friday and we’re going to miss having him here with us.
Here we were talking about his room and how we should better organize it. He didn’t have much to say on that subject! But I really could use some ideas because the basket of toys is driving me a little crazy. We also have another bin on the other side that looks the same.
My sister-in-law Ej sent this awesome Christmas gift that Garrett can’t get enough of. He has taken his naps in there and spent the night in there after we read for a while.
Having all these snowed-in days let me slow down and soak this child up.
It’s going to go quick, this I know.
God has blessed us with Garrett and i’m thankful for our time together.
On a different note…How come when I put on this jersey the Green Bay Packers lose? It’s crazy but it happened the entire season:)
I had set up an office in our laundry room where there was a built-in desk but that room is freezing. Like ICE.
I talked to Darren about moving up a desk from the basement, but then decided to put my folding table up instead.
I think it turned out great as a spot for writing. It’s also very warm in there!
Alright I’ve written too much already! I hope you’re having a wonderful day.
I want to hear from you.. Share with me some ideas for winter activities with toddlers.
Until next time,
Laura
