Welcome back friends!
I have missed this place and you!
It was great to keep in touch through the Facebook page and I loved sharing bits and pieces of our month long transition from our old home to this new one.
We moved in this last week and I am in love. Seriously.
I walk through this home and thank God over and over because He knew, he just had to know that this place would allow our family to thrive and I love seeing the reward for my husband’s hard work.
Here is a sneak peek of our new home!
I think it’s fantastic and love the light in this space.
Plenty of projects left to do but it’s coming along and I’m happy fixing it up into a great place to spend our time. I will make sure to share more pictures of the other rooms. We even have a sweet guest room all set up for visitors!
There is a basement that my husband is drooling over and I believe we’re going to lose him down there because it is a true man cave that comes with a half bathroom and plenty of room to set up his sports decor.
I’m happy for him, no i’m more than that but can’t find the words!

We are in military housing again and I love all that this community has to offer. Being a Midwest girl this is home and family is nearby which sweetens these years we’ll live here! Shore duty is wonderful, can you tell?
I went to the commissary and pulled into the front row parking (never has happened in the last 4 years!) This town feels small which fits us well. I still have exploring to do but am going to venture out with Darren since I’m brand new to this area. What did people do before GPS?
I hope your summer was filled with family and friends, good food, campfires with gooey s’mores, and warm breezes.
We found rest this month and that’s something we needed desperately!
Our God is good and that wasn’t always easy to say the last few years but I still believed He was working in our hearts and had a plan that He will continue to work out in our lives. I love being His. That he would allow dark valleys and also lead us to still waters to lie down in green pastures (Psalm 23).
Well I should move along onto this project…
Until next time!
Laura

WOW! You have a basement AND a garage-ish? How cool is THAT! Places to put things, places to lose husbands, places to clea—- wait….that last one….nevermind I said that. LOL!
I’m so glad this place is becoming a wonderful home to you, Darren and Garrett. Think back to when you were a little apprehensive….remember those thoughts? Remember how you had to look past the worries and just trust? Well done, Laura.
Can’t wait to hear your newest adventures!

Gail,
It has been wonderful. I still need to post more pictures and will get to that soon! I am so thankful for this place and grateful that God sees ahead and has a plan for our lives.
The mid-west is wonderful by the way!
