Is this solely intended to make you even more depressed that your spouse is deployed?! I’ve been through 4 deployments with my husband and I would never sit there and listen to these songs and depress myself further! This is ridiculous !

I love listening to music and these are some meaningful songs that I jotted down. They were shared here to encourage.
Four deployments is a lot by the way! Listening to sappy songs while eating ice creams during a deployment is not what was intended with this post but I would love to hear how you handled the time away from your husband? I’m sure you have a lot of ideas!

My husband is a civilian military contractor (recruited when he got out of the marine corps), he’s been overseas gone on 2 yrs now. And even though the sad songs can be a bummer, somtimes I need that. Sometimes I need the saddest songs to help me just cry it all out. And the saddest songs are the ones that make me feel like I’m not completely alone (because we aren’t military anymore, I dont have the military support, so I feel alone a lot). I love your playlist!!!

I love music and the way it can comfort or lift your spirit in the right moment.
I’m sorry you are isolated right now and I hope that this blog can serve as some sort of comfort or connection for you.

Thank you. It was a decision we agreed on and we desperately needed the money. If it wasn’t for him and his job, I wouldn’t be graduating from nursing school in may. So there are pluses to the job, just sometimes late at night the cons overwhelm me. But it can’t rain forever.
