Family Trip to the Beach!

It’s so good to have you back again today! Yesterday I shared about my son and I venturing out to a local beach but I didn’t want to over-load you with pictures at the beach. Is that possible though? Anyways!

I keep a backpack near the door for the beach which makes it easier to go on a whim.  I love that we’re taking advantage of the final weeks we’re in this area and spending a good amount of time at the beach.

Darren had off on Friday and we all headed out.  We were both talking about how glad we were to have found this quiet beach spot.

Garrett loved having his daddy along this time!

He is a trip! I love this age because even though he is seeking more independence he is talking and learning which is fun to experience with him!

We decided to eat lunch at this adorable restaurant on the pier.  When you are relaxing on the beach you’re able to catch the wafting BBQ scent and how can you not eat there then!? There is a patio on the top that over-looks the water and it was quite relaxing.

I really could have sat up there all day!

It was great to spend the day with my boys at the beach. Darren and I talked about how we need to make sure we’re getting out to experience what is around us at this next duty station.  Can you believe we’re moving in a few weeks? I cannot!  But while we wait I will be found soaking up the sun a few more times at the beach.
Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Until next time,

Laura

Sarah! Your recent blog posts have been blessing me!

We are trying to squeeze in time at the beach but we’ve had some gloomy weather this week! That’s okay though, hopefully this next week will be nice! Hope you are doing well!

You are getting some quality memories, there! Can’t wait to hear about your new adventures back in the midwest. You’ll be having more new places to check out than you’ll have time to discover, believe me! Just remember the “S” factor: SNOW! There will be a veritable plethora of exciting things to do….but then, you are a child of the midwest…hehe!

We all are looking forward to hearing from you three when you get “back home.” When you have had time to unpack and catch up with your families, we’ll get together and visit for a bit. Maybe we’ll come out your way — I’m in need of a scenery change! LOL

Keep us posted on your move! HUGS!

      Gail,
It will be nice to have some face to face time! There really is so much to do at this next duty station. While we have been house hunting online I see pictures of homes covered in snow and all I can do is smile!

I love that we are headed back to the mid-west because i’ve missed it!

Those are some great pictures. It looks like your men had a great time at the beach. That is quite a view from that BBQ place. I can see why you wanted to stay there for a while.

I could have sat up there all day! :) Hope you are well!
My guys did have a blast. The last few years Darren has been in and out frequently so we’re soaking up these coming years where he will be on shore duty. It’s a much needed time for our family.
