I wonder how many of us feel absolutely stuck in a habit? I’ve felt that way a lot with my weight or even certain attitudes that I’ve chosen over the years. It’s who we are though, right? That’s how I’ve justified it at least.
With my health I didn’t believe that I could change.
As I was running today I was listing off to God how grateful I am for His love, patience, mercy, forgiveness, and for healthy legs that keep moving. One step after another. Those legs burned but as they hit the pavement I realized how big small steps can be.
Each day I’m adding a new habit to replace an old one. That’s how we change overtime.
Don’t miss that, it’s overtime not overnight.
I wanted to cry tonight because of how much running i’ve been doing. It was a terrifying process to begin working out in public. What would people think to themselves as they saw me? Now, I don’t even care because that doesn’t matter.
Why did I live defeated in this area for such a long time? That really bothers me that I didn’t believe I could take care of myself like other people do. That I almost let Satan convince me that I was worthless.

I am having so much fun planning our meals out. There has been a ton of new items on our plates and we’re feeling happy about most of the new dishes! Pinterest has led me to a lot of very neat people who share delicious meals on their blogs. I’m thankful for this resource right now! Follow along my Recipe board if you want some new ideas?

God’s word doesn’t inspire change each time I read it but I have to say sometimes it’s just time to obey His word and do the thing.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
I may or may not have rolled my eyes at this one long ago? Now i’m nodding in agreement. I get it.
Being obedient to God isn’t easy because I want to overeat, lean back into a lazy lifestyle, and live for myself. But goodness He has called us to more! That’s why He asks our obedience because He is after the very best for you and I. Don’t you love that?
One of the most exciting things is seeing results. I snapped a picture after I ran today and thought, ‘awesome!’ All this change is paying off. (This one is from over a week ago)
Things to Remember:
-Small steps
-Replace Old habits with New ones
-Have Fun discovering new foods!
-Pray Pray Pray, because God is near to your heart and loves you to pieces.
I’m tired today but it’s a very good kind of tired! I feel really good inside and I don’t miss feeling sluggish all the time. Hope you’re having a great week!
Until next time,
Laura
*I have posted a few times now about this area of my life and want to share but also not overwhelm anyone or annoy you. This is not going to become a weight loss blog but throughout this journey it’s fun to tell you how it’s going!
