This week you are in for a treat!
I prepared two posts about our time at the beach and also a recipe to share!

I’m not sure why but Sunday comes around and it’s all serious conversation around here as we deal with all matters of the heart!
I hope you’re alright with that because goodness I love being able to share what God is working out in my heart.
It blesses me to write and look back to see how He is working and be reminded of the things He is teaching me. It’s not easy folks but I love that you are walking through life with me in this space. Thank-you!

I want so badly to share detail to detail about something very dear to my heart from this past week but am not able to at this point. However, I’m going to stress what I know about loving others.
Sometimes loving someone is standing up to them.
It’s getting in their way not knowing if they will keep you or toss you aside.
1 Corinthians 15:33
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character”.
As sisters-in-Christ we are called to sharpen each other. We encourage in love and caution each other in love too.
We talked about wounds from a friend and how if you don’t have friends who will stand up to you then you probably don’t have good friends. Dear one, I am not perfect and some of the things i’ve said or have done needed to be questioned and were!
Who am I to believe i’m above reproof from God and others who love me!?
I would be a fool not to accept correction.
Pride has destroyed people, churches, cultures, and countries. It’s talked about in many places in scripture for a reason.
I’m normally a very nice girl but when it comes to someone being mean I’m done.
This week I found myself mid-workout pounding my tired fist at the ground asking why some people are so mean?
I shook my head in disgust with an enemy who delights in the destruction of those who God loves. He is good at making his way into our hearts without us knowing and we justify the sin in our heart all the while until one day we look on at our broken lives. But praise our God who restores and rebuilds us back to life.
At dinner I cried (there’s been a lot of crying the last two weeks! Goodness!) as I told Darren how tired I was and how I had been fooled. I said, “I wanted God to use me here to bring others to Him and I don’t know if that’s being done”.
So may I offer simple words?
Be Kind, in a way that shows how Christ was kind to you.
We may be mocked for standing up for what is true and eyes may be rolled towards us but it is always the right thing to do. God blesses our obedience and that I know for sure.
Until next time,
Laura
