Happy Sunday!

We’re enjoying this day by leaning back on our couches and resting. This morning we heard a great message at church! The kind where you walk away challenged and ready to make a few adjustments. {Love that}

I know that priorities get out-of-order all the time so this was a good opportunity to check things as we head into 2014.

We exchanged gifts the other night with Darren’s parents and had a lot of fun together. It’s nice to give gifts and see their faces as they pull a gift out of the box.

Evenings like that I see how neat it was that God worked out our circumstances to live near family. The Navy does not have too many positions in the Midwest for my husband’s position and we didn’t expect to find ourselves near family, but God was faithful. SO faithful.

 

Here is Garrett waiting on us before we left for Church.  Darren told me that we had to un-tuck his shirt because it didn’t look right without a belt. In case you didn’t know, I lack fashion know-how.  Poor Garrett!

After church we headed to a local Mexican Restaurant and devoured our chips and salsa.

We talked on Facebook today about this, and I had a good laugh with some of your comments! I could eat chips and salsa every day. Very tasty, but everything in moderation, right?
We are very much a Midwest family and Mexican food to me has been Tacos.

I grew up on tacos and it’s a meal that Darren tolerates but I’ve overdone it through the years.  He’s a good husband and smiles at me when I say, ‘Guess what we’re having for dinner tonight!’
