Last January we were beginning a new budget leaving me overwhelmed with the reality that I could not shop.
Which bummed me out because I love indulging in a new outfit or knickknack for the home.
But the budget we had didn’t put much in the pocket for clothing or home finds.
It was around that time that I discovered Jen’s blog, “Balancing Beauty and Bedlam”.
She taught a new way to shop while staying in our means.
Thrift stores and rummage sales!
It was such a great time to see how God provided while we were being obedient in the area of finance.
At the same time her blog encourages a frugal lifestyle it also tells of the bedlam moments!
Reminding me to not take things too serious!

When you stop in to see her blog you’ll enjoy wonderful recipes, a coupon database, DIY projects, free printables, personal finance help, and stories of faith and family.
Jen has been a wonderful teacher this past year!
She is founer of, ‘The Becoming’ <–Click
conference which I have only heard wonderful things about!
It has come and gone for 2012 but if you’re a blogger stay tuned for 2013.
If you click below, you’ll be re-directed to Jen’s Blog. I hope you’ll enjoy this place as much as I have!

thanks for this. quitting my job and taking on freelance projects, my budget has taken a drastic plunge. i’m always on the look-out for ‘better ways to do things’ and ‘getting more out of spending less’, etc.
I agree with getting more while spending less! It is hard to live within our means when most people around us are indulging in material things. I still have a hard time! But Jen’s blog has been great in teaching different ways to save/spend wisely. Hope you’re having a great day!
