31 Days of Inspiring Blogs {7.Courtney Kirkland}

 Used with Permission

Courtney is a writer, designer, and photographer.
I discovered her blog, “Courtney Kirkland” six months ago through the Circle of Mom’s top 25 military moms.

To start with she has a great design business.  When you look at her website you’ll see a tab for ‘Design’ make sure to check that out.  She has such a talent for making blogs beautiful and we all know how nice it is to read a blog that’s easy on the eyes!

If her talent for design isn’t enough she is also a great writer!
Seriously friends, this girl is down to earth in the most refreshing way.
You’ll be encouraged.

She is a military spouse living in Alaska (jealous!) while raising her young son. (another one on the way!)  It’s been nice to read a blog that allows me to easily relate with the writer.

Okay, enough of me talking, take some time to look at her blog and if you have the time, leave her a note!

She also keeps a facebook page <–Click
..and awesome Pinterest boards (It confirms that we’d be friends in real life!)

Enjoy!

31 Days of Inspiring Blogs {6.A Holy Experience}

Mother letters

The blog, A Holy Experience is written by New York Bestselling author Ann Voskamp and is one you shouldn’t miss!

She wrote the book, ‘One Thousand Gifts’ that encouraged a change of heart.

Instead of hurriedly going through our lives she encourages us to

slow down and list blessing after blessing.

I kept those moments in a journal for myself and the list began to grow.

I loved looking back over those pages to remember the many ways God is here.

Most of her posts are written poetically.

I realize some may or may not like that format but the message being shared is beautiful truth.

Reading her story taught the importance of when we count blessings we begin to live joyfully, right where we are.

When you stop over at her blog you’ll be comforted by the talented David Nevue playing piano (option to pause) and find pictures that tell a

story of a life choosing joy daily and teaching others to as well.

I love the way she sends you into the weekend with the best, “May your weekend be..”
She stays humble even as her popularity grows and I appreciate that.
She points to Christ in her blog and that’s inspiring.
Emily will keep things simple and maybe that’s what makes it a place for a soul to breathe deep in.
I hope you’ll be encouraged in your day-to-day by her words.
