I start this off with tears falling down my cheeks already!   I tear up A LOT these days.
I blame it on a tender heart and an amazing God.

There is so much happening now that displays the goodness of our God.

If you don’t mind, I’d love to share a few things with you!

 

 

1. The A21 Campaign – Natalia’s Story

With as many organizations bringing awareness to human trafficking I’m sad it took this long to know. I want to be the first to admit that I push these videos aside normally, or pictures of poor children.  They always upset me and i’m left feeling helpless.  Even though there is call to action, I don’t know what to do.
But this time I browsed this campaign site and saw that they take written letters to women in their safe houses.  I realized that there is something we can do and share what God’s given us financially.
It’s important that these women are free and that others never find themselves being escorted away.  God is working through A21 and other organizations and it’s wonderful to hear women being saved and coming to a safe place where they hear about a God that restores what is broken.

 

 

2. Ann Voskamp – A Holy Experience
A teacher who continues to shed light on how to live by the gospel and extend compassion day after day.

She shares {here} about unity needed in a sisterhood that has become divided.

 

3. A Happy Home – 10 Day Devotional {By Laura Moore}

It’s happening!  The manuscript for,  ‘A Happy Home – 10 Day Devotional’ is in the hands of my wonderful editor.  This week it will return spruced up and ready for you!
The way God worked this out has brought plenty of tears this week and I can’t wait to share about it in the coming weeks!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Change of Heart

When Mary was visited by the angel (Luke 1) she was told she would be with child and give birth to a son who she would name Jesus, she was never given a choice.  However, God gave Mary a heart to rejoice in this news after she questioned how it would be possible.
I realize that God never asked, ‘Laura do you want to be a military spouse? Do you want to have Darren gone for months at a time, Do you want to move over 5 times in a few years time’?  There was never a question but there was a choice,

‘Laura, do you want to embrace where I have called you?  Do you want to have a heart full of praise or full of resentment?  I’m giving you the choice’.
Like Mary who was given a very large responsibility, the Lord will do that in our lives.
I want to be able to say, ‘Lord I chose to walk in the way you called me.’
He will give us the strength to change our heart.

 

5. This song,

I can’t get over the words, “Even what the enemy means for evil – you turn it for our good, for your glory”.

 

When we are surrounded by a dark world if we kneel at the throne of God, he will show us His glory and goodness.  I hope we will make that choice day after day.
