Grace That Saves {Part Two}

{If you missed part one start here}

2 Corinthians 12:8-9
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

I didn’t deserve that moment when God’s grace took me from a barren place to a place seated at His table. For everything that He represents He still called me his own after I did what he hates, sinned against Him.
Grace could mean a number of things to different people.
Describing a prayer, how someone carries themselves, or being given what we don’t deserve.
Being bound in His grace brings joy.
It was exactly one year ago that I sat in a car and called my mother and found myself explaining how for the first time I understood what grace meant.
Although it was a word often on my tongue and repeated throughout church services I pushed it aside.  See, I had a lot of paying God back before we were good again.  I had made foolish choices and needed to make things right.

I was raised to follow a standard of morals.  I am not one that justifies sin in my life for a long period.  There is right and wrong and when I’ve done wrong let’s make it right. However, Seeing things black and white leaves no room for grace.  Expectations are set for myself, people, and organizations without evening realizing it.
I learned grace last year.  It was probably one of the most special moments in my relationship with the Lord. When the lightbulb went on.  The flood of sermons and scripture that I’d pushed off to someone else who deserved it were now my own.  As you know life didn’t become perfect but that’s the hope I have in Christ.
This mysterious King stepped down from His thrown and was born of a virgin. He saved each one of us willing to accept Him.  It’s a beautiful story that I believe with all my heart.  I’ll never pretend to understand why but I am grateful for His love.

This last year I’ve learned about extending grace for my church, family, and friends.  How we need it! There are grey areas that demand grace. I have learned not to push my convictions on others. If God can cover my wrongs than I can certainly learn to extend that to others no matter how they’ve wronged me.

God’s grace saves us from being caught in the bondage of sin.
Take hope that his grace is enough for you, have a wonderful day friend!.

    I love this. I feel like the past few years, grace has really become TRUE for me. I all-of-a-sudden realized that when I was trying to get myself together before presenting my heart to God, I was shaming the work Jesus did on the cross. His grace is enough for us, and so is His sacrifice.
    Thank you for being vulnerable
