I hope that you are having a fantastic day! Today my little valentine and I rounded up our valentine gifts for his friends and headed out together to deliver them. We chatted and sang together and enjoyed surprising friends.

Garrett was more interested in his friends toys than giving them a valentine but please tell me it’s not just my child who makes himself at home no matter where he goes?!

: )
Today my husband isn’t able to spend the day with us but the man loves me throughout the year so we’re all good!

I have been working on change.
I had planned to meet some goals this year but when my husband’s deployment was cancelled it sent my plans in a tail-spin.
I re-grouped this last week and wrote out small steps I can take to managing my health, home, relationships, budget, and even this blog in ways that will bring God glory.
Sometimes when we have big goals in mind it’s hard to muster up motivation. Yes I could stare at pictures of what i’d like to look like or spend hours on pinterest dreaming up a home i’d like to have but from my experience it never changes the heart of the matter.
I lack discipline.
What better way to start changing then to admit where I fall short and ask God to teach me how to be better?
Where has my first step been?
Reading God’s word every day.
Right now I am reading a chapter a day from Esther and today it was two because I didn’t want to wait until tomorrow to find out what happens to the jews. : )
In order to manage the areas of my life well I need to be full from the inside.
That is my start and it’s my hope that as these days go on i’ll keep stepping in the direction God is leading.

Laura, thank you for sharing all if this! As a Navy Wife/Mom I have my weak moments! Tonight I googled lonely military spouse and your page poped up!!!! There is no doubt in my mind that God was and is using you in a wonderful way.
Thanks Again…. I read a lot of what I needed to hear!
God Bless
Erica,
Thank you for leaving this sweet comment!
I’m really glad you landed on this page and found some encouragement. I am right with you with having weak moments as a navy wife and mother. (This lifestyle can be lonely at times!)
Thanks again. : )
