{An offering}
I wonder how different our lives would be if we saw Jesus’ death.
If we saw the skin being ripped, the nails being driven through the hands and feet.
Seeing a man laying down His life, while showing a love deeper than anything we will ever know.
I can’t stomach the movie, “The Passion of the Christ”.
I cry,
No make that sob..
Because it puts a visual image in the mind of a man laying down His life for the unworthy.
Oh how he loves us!
I can’t bow low enough, I can’t do anything worthy of the price He paid for us.
It was by God’s grace..
He wanted to make a way for His child:
To be able to forgive when she disobeyed.
Laura, (He says) you are mine.
I bought you with my blood.
You said ‘but i’m just a mom and wife without a college degree’ but I said
You are mine.

Today I felt like a million bucks. Maybe it was the new boots and curly hair? But I think it was the joy seeping out from being reminded who I am in Him.

He just doesn’t quit. He keeps fighting for our hearts, redeeming the broken, and bringing the lost back.
That amazes me about my God. His mercy, my goodness it is nothing like i’ve seen before.
When I think my country has lost Hope he questions the Faith I have in Him.
He is still sovereign.
For 18 years I have been loving this God.
I have been stumbling, rejoicing, smiling, crying, laying down, picking up, running away, running straight back!, and growing.
There has been no greater love than this friend..I wouldn’t lie to you.
He keeps letting me rediscover Him over the years.
The other day we talked about reading God’s word.
Can I ask you to pick a book in the Bible and commit to reading it over the next few weeks. Take your time or read through it in a few days. I want you to do this for your relationship with God, to hear a fresh word from Him.
I am going to read through Job.
You can comment and tell me or keep it to yourself, either is fine!
Through His word we are strengthened and right now we could use a lot of strength in the midst of a broken world.
…and lastly
Have you tried pumpkin spice coffee creamer!?
It’s incredibly delicious!
(No one is paying me to tell you, I just care about your happiness in the morning and this is going to bring a smile!)

You are so special to me and I love being able to sit down and share with you.
Thank you for letting me be real with you, and for coming back to read this blog.
I have been lifting these posts up to God and asking Him to bring the right eyes to it.
His plans are far greater than mine.
~Laura~
