I took a few weeks off and didn’t tell you, sorry!
Did you have a wonderful Christmas? Can you believe how fast this month went by? It’s crazy how time flies and as much as you want to slow it down, it won’t. But we sure are making fun memories, right?
As much as I love to write out what’s going on in my life, some struggles aren’t mine to share. That’s why it has been quiet around here. It was a bummer to have a plate full of emotions near Christmas but it made celebrating Christ’s birth more exciting to me this year.
Also, if there was a way to hug you, I would.
I appreciate that over the years you have spent your time with me here, it has blessed me greatly! I love all your comments and stories shared. I even was able to meet a blog reader at my family’s church the other week. That was so special and we hugged like we’d known each other for a while! How special is that. ![]()
Thank you for inviting me into your lives.

I am nearing 25 and believe full heartedly that there’s a such thing as a quarter-life-crisis. People always talked about learning who they were in their mid 20’s and i’m there. It’s a little frightening actually.
The one thing i’m sure about is God, and his love for me. I think this is part of becoming an adult?
When I start to lose sight of who I am, then I quietly go back into His presence and rest there.
This season is good for me and even though it has appeared dark, I am sitting still and acknowledging my God’s hand in this. I know that all of this struggling has not been for nothing.

{Sorry for bouncing around a lot today!}
Here are a few pictures from our Christmas…
Last weekend we went to my cousin’s wedding, celebrated Christmas with the ‘Bacon’ family, and then Christmas Day was with my mom’s side. It was special to be there this year since we’ve missed out the last few years. There has been a lot of traveling and Garrett has had a blast in-between meltdowns.
Seriously at one point I was ready to pull out my hair with these tantrums. Can anyone relate? I know this will pass and the important thing is to stay consistent but i’m exhausted!
I will be sad to pack away all of our Christmas things in the coming week!
My grandma’s beautiful Christmas tree!
We had a white Christmas! It was gorgeous in the afternoon when it snowed. Growing up we always spent Christmas day or Christmas eve at their house and it was wonderful to be there this year. I loved being in Wisconsin and told Darren i’d like to move there!
Garrett and his ‘meemaw’. My mom hosted a lot of people this last weekend and we’re all thankful for her hospitality. It can be a lot to have a house-full but she does such a great job. I didn’t even snap a picture of all the things she baked, but trust me they were delicious!
Garrett on Christmas Day. I didn’t take enough formal pictures but here are some of him on the go.
My grandma sets out a $1 dollar gift for everyone each year since I was young and this year Garrett’s was a movie and mine was a pack of bowl covers. She put on a wonderful day for everyone!

Here is one of Garrett and I opening a gift. He knew what to do this year and wanted to open ALL the gifts. Prayers for patience would be greatly appreciated! : )
Well I have more pictures but i’m still figuring out this brand new computer! That was my gift from my sweet husband. I didn’t expect that at all but what a great present. (It has a touch screen!) Alright well I have a lot to do around here but I hope you’re having a relaxing week!
Tell me about your favorite thing that happened this Christmas?
Laura
