Fear of Failure
What matters to God is that we did what he called us to.
As a community forms around here I am grateful.
I do burn out from time to time.
But after time spent with God all other distractions silenced I am renewed.
After this month I think it’s important that I be quiet around here for a week.(nov.4-10)
The crazy thing is the internet will still spin without me! 😉
I’ll come back much better for having taken that time.
There is a lot of elbow bumping in the blog world, but I tack it up to the fact that there are so many blogs.
You may not particularly relate to my story and how I write but maybe another blog speaks right to your heart.
There really is enough room for many writers.
I thought for a long time that in some way I was failing as a writer because I wasn’t as talented as so and so. But God squished those thoughts immediately.
He called me here and it’s not a failure when things don’t turn out my way, it would only be failing if I didn’t do what He called me to do.
Also a vacation from this place is not failure.
It’s smart.
Part of sharing my story is living it, which is no easy thing.
But there is a fine balance with how much to share and what to keep inside for God and I.
I want to work on a project in the coming months and that means balancing responsibilities to see it through.
Do you feel exhausted or burnt out?
Don’t be afraid to rest even if it’s for a day..
You won’t fall behind, lay down some pride and have a time-out.
Here are a few ways to find rest
1.Bubble bath
2.Read a book
3.Take a weekend trip
4.Spend an hour by yourself exploring a store or treat yourself to a coffee treat
5.Take a walk with no distraction
6.Carve out time in your week to do something you enjoy
7.Mani/Pedi
8.Go straight to God in prayer and pronounce you’ve come to rest awhile
He will gladly give it.
Rest in Him.
