Having the Right Priorities

I wanted to send a big thank you to those that liked my new Facebook page! (on the right hand side of the page) You guys really are the best.  I love being able to pour out my love for writing and use that passion to encourage.  This mix has been such a blessing.

It’s really neat to see how far we’ve come and how this blog is more than a space to write for myself.  When I first started it was about Laura, and as God grew me as a young women he presented the option to use this blog for his glory. I try to choose that each time I come to this place.

I appreciate every person that has stopped me and said, ‘Laura, I’m really enjoying your blog’.  It’s a compliment and reassurance that God has been using these words to encourage and hopefully bring others to him.  I can’t tell you how often I think of you who read this blog and am thankful beyond words that you chose to step into this space to hear me.  Writing for you has been the most humbling experience.  Thank you for coming back! (Even when my grammar and punctuation is awful! I’m working on it)
I would still write this blog even if you were the only one reading.

This morning I woke up around 5 with burning eyes (3 hours of sleep doesn’t work out well) and poured a cup of coffee and switched on ‘I love Lucy’.  It’s great to have quiet time in the morning to soak up some me time before the little guy wakes up.  We need that as moms!
My little G has been taking his dad being away very hard and I didn’t know what to do.  I wanted to ignore him and pretend he wasn’t throwing himself on the floor but i was on the brink of breaking from the stress.  I asked God this last week about 10 times that he would give me the wisdom to know how to handle him and the patience.  Last night the answer hit me quite unexpectedly and someone was shaking me to wake up!
He needs me to put him first.  To love him how he needs means to sit on the floor for an hour and read books, play trucks, and chase him around like a crazy momma!  It means dying to self and putting his needs first.

Him first, blog second

I heard loud and clear from God to have my priorities right.
I do believe our obedience will be blessed.

Are you getting frustrated with situations arising in your life?  Like my mom always told me, ‘Pray!’ God really will give you an answer in time, quite unexpectedly at times.
Have faith in his answer and be obedient to it as hard as it sounds to live out.
Last night I sat before my man and shared with him how i so desire to live out this christian walk in practical ways everyday and how badly I want to know God.
We can go to church our whole lives and not really know him personally.

Okay lets recap here. :)

Problem?
Pray!
Have Faith in His answer
Live it

I woke up early this morning to soak up quiet time for me, prepare the heart for the day ahead, and write to you.  I pray your priorities are in the right order today so God can bless you from being obedient.  I admire those who are living out God, husband, children, family/friends, themselves.  It’s a picture of something only God gives us strength to live out daily.

I pray we are choosing to die to self this morning.

What do you think of a giveaway?
I still need to straighten out the details but when we reach 300 Facebook friends we should celebrate!

Share with your friends if you think of it!
