I swung the bag off the shoulder and flung the keys on the hook.
A happy toddler on one hip as we chatted excitedly about our first trip to Chuck-E Cheese :)..the happiest place ever!
After laying him down I lit a cider candle, put dishes away, then swept the deck of all freakish spider webs and stood for a minute soaking in the wonderful breeze and sunshine.
I thanked God for a perfect moment, a heart at peace, and not a care in the world.

I made my way to the front porch, grabbed a seat and sat for a while, content.

I saw her pulling in and then i remembered her situation and the handful of cars she’s had to borrow this last week.
I got up and quickly went over to grab a few moments with her.
What do you tell a single mom who is on the brink of a meltdown over a broken car.
I don’t have the $2,000 to fix her car.
I don’t have the peace to give her but in those moments I had the one who does solve and make paths straighter and I started thinking about sharing Him.
See i’m going to fade away one day, and along with this blog and everything unique about me, it will go away and be forgotten.
I’m okay with that,
But i DO love the fact that my God will not become un-popular…even in the many attempts to silence and go away with Jesus,

He remains.

I’m content because of him.

I wish that there were more immediate answers to life’s hardships but its in those hard moments that the Holy Spirit works in us teaching and molding us to be more like Christ.
