A stack of dresses laid across my aching arm. Was picking out a simple dress really this hard? For the girl with no fashion sense..yes!
I would try one on and shake my head then the next and wonder did I really think that would look good on?
So I zipped up my boots in defeat and headed out of the dressing room with my failed attempt at finding a dress.
As I was putting them away I saw a red dress that seemed alright. I decided to grab it and then wandered over to the next section. A nice pant and pretty top may work too I wondered.
Then she came over to me.
‘Grace’ her name tag read.
She smiled and asked if she could help me.
As my friend pointed out to me today how neat it was that her name was grace.
I remembered Cinderella before her fairy god-mother arrives.
But replaced her with a messy bun completely exhausted after a long day of mothering a toddler and cleaning out cars.
She grabbed a few dresses and I tried them on and showed them off and had a blast playing dress up!
Then the sweet shoe fairy god mother arrives on the scene and she had a dare for me.
High heels like i’ve never seen before!
Okay so i’ve seen them on others but never imagine myself in a pair.
But this weekend we’re dressing up and going to a Christmas party and staying in a hotel.
Just my man and I.
What a gift!
Please say a prayer for me in these shoes…i’m going to fall…there’s no doubt in my mind.

Here is your sneak peek!
Hair down (curled), or up?
