A year ago, I started to ween myself off of diet pepsi. It. Was. Torturous. Losing that little bit of caffeine was awful. I don't drink coffee or tea - this was my only ONLY jolt of the day. Several tries later, I am finally at a point where I can take it or leave it -- but still drink one in the morning and one later in the day. Believe it or not, that's down from 5-6 a day. I drink twice that much in water each day, more if I'm outside with the band. But it took a bout with high blood pressure to get me started on it. Still can't get the weight to drop, but that's part of the whole thyroid thing, I think. Well, that and my plantar fascitis issue. Regardless, it's a process.

I don't binge - unless it's my home-made custard. I'm a sucker for that. LOL So I rarely make it - for my own protection. But when I do, it's just not gonna last long. I like fruit, but it's hit and miss...hard to keep good fruit around, but harder to find good fruit that lasts long enough.

Sometimes our will power is our biggest weakness....the not having any, that is. I'm starting to find ways of getting more active, but mostly it involves impact on a foot that is just plain hurting. It's better, but still... God knows us best. We fall, He picks us up. We learn, then we trip over something else. You're a mom, so you are doing a great job of setting Garrett up to be a healthy little man. And who knows? You could end up with a little girl someday, and wouldn't you just bet she'll be watching you like a cute little hawk?

Most importantly, to be healthy at whatever weight we are and to serve God is way more important than to be the perfect weight. I believe that God wants us attentive and humble....I don't recall much about being perfect. As long as we are doing good with the temple, we are good in His eyes. :-D

Teared up! I love you and miss you a ton! Thanks for this encouragement, and I am moving forward for sure. I wouldn't be able to do this without faith in God. I think the fact that it takes time is teaching me how to stick with this.

Laura!
You are a remarkable women of God, and you ARE doing a fantastic job at sticking to what you have your heart set on! Do NOT let Satan make you think for a second that you are a failure or that you can't do this. Because our God is much bigger and much stronger, and best of all HE IS A HEALER and HE WILL heal you of your binge eating!!!! Praise HIM now for what HE is going to do through you!!! I love you and I love to see all your wonderful meals that you are making. You are right, do not dwell on the fact that you slipped up, take note and march forward from there :) You got this!!!
